GRID WALLET
OUR STORY
The Grid Wallet team is Mike Newman, a renewable energy expert, Arta Citko, a digital design expert and Klavs Ansons, a power electronics expert. We all met in 2017 over a common challenge. In the digital world we live in, why are we not able to choose the source of energy we use in our homes and offices? What if everyone could trade their electricity through an online marketplace? So we began developing Grid Wallet, a digital marketplace for green electricity. Using Grid Wallet, you can choose the source of the electricity you use at you home and sell your produced electricity directly to other people.
OUR VISION
Our vision is for a connected and efficient future for energy worldwide. The current system is inefficient and outdated. We see a future where you can not only choose where electricity comes from but also will be able to control electrical devices automatically to match when electricity is at its cheapest. TECHNOLOGY
Our technology is a powerful code that matches consumers and producers, instantly online. It relies on smart meter data from the buildings and from power plants to match customers to local producers. Our platform is provided through existing online billing systems hosted by utility companies, making it easy to use Grid Wallet.
